We've combined the best parts of the District VII awards with the Circle of Excellence Awards.
When you enter the Circle of Excellence Awards, your entries also will be considered for Best of District VII recognition—at no extra cost. We've also updated all of the categories and judging criteria and added several categories that will be judged based on staff size.
Recent District VII institutional award recipients
Executive Leadership Award
The Executive Leadership Award (formerly the Chief Executive Award) was established by District VII in 1999 to honor institutional leaders for their outstanding contributions to their campus communities and for their support of advancement at their institutions. The award recognizes a District VII member institution president, headmaster, chancellor, system head, chief advancement officer, or other institutional executive leader for their outstanding efforts to promote a public understanding and support of advancement and education.
Rising Star Award
The Rising Star Award was established in 2004 and recognizes a person with seven (7) years or less of advancement experience whose early accomplishments distinguish them as possible future leaders in the profession. The candidates should be individuals whose performance demonstrates innovation, professionalism and leadership qualities.
Distinguished Service Award
The Distinguished Service Award (formerly the Tribute Award) was established by District VII in 1985 to recognize members who have maintained the highest standards of professionalism in their advancement careers, shared their expertise with members of the profession, and tirelessly supported CASE through volunteerism and advocacy. In 2019, the award was renamed to honor our colleague Nancy Treser-Osgood, who has been the consummate District VII volunteer for over 30 years. Winners of this award will exemplify the values Nancy has promoted through her years of volunteer service. You can read more about her here.
Scholarships
Scholarships are available to attend the CASE District VII Annual Conference 2025, March 2–4, in San Francisco, CA.
This scholarship covers the conference registration fee.
All CASE members are welcome to apply. Preference for scholarships will be given to people who meet any of these criteria:
- Never attended a CASE conference.
- From an under-represented population.
- New to educational advancement.
- New to a leadership role.
- Student who is planning a career in educational advancement.
