Gian has been responsible for creating and refining donor relations, donor engagement, donor communications, and stewardship programs in various stages of development including from the ground up at multiple organizations in the healthcare and higher education industries. 

He is currently Director of Donor Relations and Stewardship at Howard University where he leads a team building the first comprehensive donor relations and stewardship program in the university’s history. His specialty areas include principal gifts donor stewardship, wide-scale fund compliance, comprehensive program conceptualization and development, and donor communications. 

Gian is also an active industry volunteer with his most recent time spent on the Board of Directors with the Association of Donor Relations Professionals (ADRP).
