Jason “JT” Thomas

Bio
Jason Thomas (JT) serves as the Associate Director, Talent Management for the Oregon State University Foundation. As a member of the Talent Management team, JT focuses on the OSU Foundation's recruiting efforts by developing relationships, networks and candidate pools across all Foundation positions and using all recruiting channels.
A former student-athlete, JT was appointed OSU Director of Football Operations and Student Services in 2014 and was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Development and Football Leadership Initiatives in 2015. His roles included acting as a liaison for student-athlete welfare and multiple aspects of student-athlete development, including the personal, professional, and leadership development of football student-athletes as well as departmental diversity and inclusion initiatives. During his tenure at OSU JT also filled a dual role within the Office of Student Life as an Interim Assistant Dean of Students. Within this role JT was responsible for a caseload of student care work, First-Year Experience exemption management and assisting with demonstration response.
JT holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management and Marketing and a Master’s degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation, both from Utah State University. JT and his wife Dayna Barrett, a former Utah State track and field student-athlete, have three children – sons, Ezekiel and Asher, and daughter, Chara.
