Bio

Maggie Zhou was appointed Alibaba Group Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand in March 2016 and has worked for Alibaba Group since 2000. Maggie is currently responsible for building Alibaba Group's business in Australia and New Zealand to further develop the digital infrastructure and help local merchants enter the vast China consumer market.

Prior to this role, Maggie worked closely with the Australia and New Zealand business development team on Tmall Global and was in charge of overall government and public affairs for the platform. In 2003, Maggie was one of nine founders who helped the Group establish Alibaba's Taobao Marketplace and served as Executive Assistant to Jack Ma for almost five years.
