I joined CASE four years ago as director of our Latin America region. The office is the smallest of our four regions, and it’s a perfect fit for me.
My previous experience includes 17 years with the British Council as part of the global team promoting joint programs for foreign students in the U.K. I worked with a medium-sized local staff that connected educational institutions from Mexico and other parts of Latin America to educational institutions in the U.K. for student exchange, project collaboration, and local student opportunities. The average team size was 10. Later, I had the opportunity to work as a one-person team opening Mexico as a market for the University of New Mexico.
At CASE Latin America, our staff of three supports more than 80 member institutions located primarily in Mexico, Colombia, Chile, and Ecuador. Aside from day-to-day management, our responsibilities include growing our base of member institutions while looking for innovative ways to address the unique needs of our region.
