This research brief reports on philanthropic income to higher education as reported by CASE-member institutions in Australia and New Zealand, Canada, the United Kingdom and Ireland, the United States, and a cohort of European nations outside the United Kingdom. The sources and purposes of contributions, as well as the growth in charitable giving to higher education institutions, are examined and notable findings presented.
