Special Events: Online Fundraisers
Entries should be a single fundraising event, or up to three closely related events, such as an online auction, that took place over multiple days and times. The primary goal of the event should be to raise money for an institutional need or priority. While the event may have an in-person component, the primary focus should have been on the online audience.
Judges will not review entire recordings of the online events, so they will rely on your written description of the concept, strategies, and outcomes that made the events successful. Feel free to provide screenshots or very brief recorded clips that highlight key aspects of the events.
For example:
Virtual golf tournament
Online fundraising gala
Do not enter:
A livestream of an event that had no other engagement components.
Stewardship events. Enter those in Fundraising: Donor Relations & Stewardship.
Campaign launches or celebrations. Enter those in Special Events: Online (One-time Events).
Judges will score nominations from 1 (lowest) to 10 (highest) in these five areas:
Overall concept and creativity
Ability to serve as a model for other institutions
Audience experience
Impact and results
Use of resources (budget, people, and time) and return on investment
Judges may also consider:
Planning and execution
Quality and clarity of nomination and supporting materials
Special circumstances/overcoming adversity
