The University of Maryland School of Nursing's biannual magazine, NURSING FOR/UM, has a dual mission: first, to maintain a connection with 24,000-plus alumni, friends, and supporters, and second, to provide engaging, thought-provoking and educational content related to the field of nursing, so that readers can apply what they learn through the magazine to improving patient care and health care in general.

You only have one time to make a first impression and what an impression was made! Nursing For/Um is beautifully designed, full of high quality content and printed on nice paper. The judges loved the stunning photography and illustrations, fold out cover, and paper choice. We appreciated the flexible grid and simple yet bold typography thereby facilitating the flow and readability of the magazine. It was also produced under budget! A beautiful example of teamwork.
