When a patient is diagnosed with sepsis, seconds count. But the hunt for new therapies and diagnostics for this disease that affects 1.6 million people annually has been agonizingly slow. This article describes research going on at Brown to find ways to personalize treatments for sepsis so that they will be more successful.
