UC Davis created a blog around majors and what opportunities exist for each major, helping students connect the dots to their desired career. This effort was the most successful blog at UC Davis to date, driving significant traffic and new visitors to the main UC Davis website and increasing the visibility of our programs to prospective students. In order to do this, UC Davis spent a considerable amount of time building partnerships with more than 90 collaborators (and counting). Faculty, students, staff and alumni have written 100-plus posts to date.

With a focus on student outcome and satisfaction, the panel recognizes this project for its focus on student outcome. By connecting student and alumni success stories to a variety of majors UC-Davis transformed a simple blog into an inspiring carrier for advancement, student success, and admissions efforts.
