The Georgia Tech Road Piece is designed to be a lightweight, portable introduction to Georgia Tech for admissions counselors to take to meetings and events with students around the state and the country. In the past, our admissions materials have played it a bit safer with design. This year, with a new designer on the project, and a new proposed direction from the office of undergraduate admissions, we were able to pitch a more energetic, bright, and playful look. We shot new photography to match, and we were thrilled when our undergraduate admissions office wholeheartedly embraced the piece.
From the Judges
The judges thought this was a great piece that powerfully showcases the life of the university. The fold-out cover with the metallic gold is a unique and beautiful presentation. The combination of dynamic typography and crisp photography create a stunning visual for prospective students. The highlighting of elements throughout the piece is playful but serves a purpose.
