From the Judges
The Johns Hopkins Magazine presented a delightful entry in the pieces, “Putting the Kibosh on Contagion,” “When the Abuser is a Child,” and “Sick.” The articles represented a rich variety and distinguished writing quality. “Sick” was particularly engaging, and instills in the reader a desire to read the book it profiles. This collection demonstrated excellent editorial content that captures the impact of the university in the context of the academy and global society, while also offering a splendid mixture of internal and external interest.
