From the Nominator

As a result of the rebranding effort that took place in the summer of 2017, Sweet Briar College needed to update and redesign its admissions materials. One of the pieces we updated as part of that process was our student life brochure. We're a small, rural school, and prospective students often ask about our student life and what students do to have fun. So, we had to do more than just update the brand for the piece. We had to highlight the fact that there is plenty to do and lots of ways to have fun at Sweet Briar.

From the Judges

This was a creative, beautifully designed piece that kept the judges interacting with the Sweet Briar brand for several minutes. We appreciated the cost-saving technique of choosing a distinctive fold over a die cut or other expensive printing technique—the result of a successful collaboration with the designer, who suggested the format. The photography was also well-chosen.
