From the Nominator
The Aalto University Visual Library provides guidelines and assets for using Aalto University’s identity in your own documents and materials. The identity is a tool for the creation of purposeful visual solutions for a large and diverse educational community. As such, the identity is not based on the rigid repetition of elements. Tasks can be solved creatively and flexibly on the principles outlined in these guidelines.
From the Judges
We found their approach to be very fresh and takes advantage of the way modern technology is changing the nature of communication—particularly among millennials. The design also offered a clever way to bridge a number of cultures and languages. The brand guidelines themselves were clear and effective.
