An interdisciplinary team of experts from across campus began planning a new, robust Events Calendar to serve as a central informative hub of happenings at Syracuse University. The website, http://calendar.syracuse.edu/events, features a chronological listing of events and a spotlight section, with contributions from schools and colleges, administrative units, and programs across campus. One of the most integral pieces of this project was the promotional strategy—how we would inform the campus community of this new platform. The social media team took this challenge head-on by creating a series of Weekly Events Instagram stories, which highlight the top events each week. Every Monday morning, the team posts 6-8 various events to @SyracuseU’s flagship Instagram stories, with the ability to "swipe-up" on each event to learn more.

This is a clever way to use Instagram stories to keep people informed and involved. The branding and design looks great. If your school has a lot of events each week, this would work very well.
