We shot an underwater photo of one of our researchers, Jenna Jambeck, who is known worldwide for her work with ocean debris and, specifically, ocean debris tracking.

What a creative, impactful way to show researcher Jenna Jambeck doing observations in her field. The colors and the balance of this image work extremely well. And the prep work that went into this photo was next level. The photographer built a rig out of pvc pipe to hold the trash in place. On the day of the shoot, a team of eight people helped with lighting and wrangling the trash, served as models for dry runs before the researcher arrived, and treaded water during the shoot to hold the rig in place.
