The winter issue of LMU Magazine was timed for a major campus event. The university hosted the Dec. 19, 2019 Democratic National Committee Presidential Debate. Our magazine, with its cover story casting a bipartisan troupe of Washington, D.C. politicians as their Shakespearean counterparts, was penned by LMU theater professor and Shakespeare scholar Kevin Wetmore, and illustrated by renowned caricature artist Steve Brodner.

A timely, clever approach—both in terms of the story and the cover. The illustrator choice was inspired, and the composition was well balanced. It's brave. The packaging of it is well done, too, with sharp copy.
