MU Student-Produced Recruitment Video
From the Nominator
This video is shown to visiting students before the admissions presentation and campus tour to make their wait time entertaining and educational. The video continuously presents new subject matter and is interesting no matter what point the viewer begins to engage. The video was executed in its entirety by one freshman graphic design student. We gave the student access to the video archive server. He viewed hours and hours and tens of gigabytes of existing video and sound, developed a concept, script and storyboard, and built the 19-minute video in Adobe Premiere Pro. The final product has been viewed more than 7,500 times on the video screen in our visit presentation room since August 2019.

The outstanding graphics and editing of this recruitment video help serve the unique purpose of why it has been created—to grab the attention of the viewer at any point. The video shows a great understanding of campus culture. The visuals, music, and editing are very engaging throughout, which is impressive for the length of this video.
