From the Nominator
On the Same Terms: The Beginnings of Women’s Education at Northwestern is a 48-page companion piece to Northwestern University Libraries’ exhibit charting the decision to first admit women to the university, and its history of coeducation. The exhibit is part of the Northwestern's “150 Years of Women” celebration of that decision. The book draws on archival documents and research to give a visual and narrative chronicle, intended as a gift to library donors.
From the Judges
This publication on the admission of female students to Northwestern University was very well done, particularly for the cost. The creative team of in-house talent put a lot of thinking into paper stock, digital printing, and more to get the best product for the best price. The judging team applauds the school's collaboration across the university to celebrate 150 years of coeducation.
