"Run With Jim" is a series of early morning runs for University of Virginia alumni, parents, and friends that leverage the running interests of our president and increase regional engagement around the world when he is traveling on university business. President Jim Ryan is known as a top scholar, strong leader, and exceptional marathoner. The "Run With Jim" program has amplified signature UVA moments in key regions, including the first presidential visit to a region, a campaign event, and major athletics games. What started as a humorous social media exchange between our president and a current student, and that first led to community runs taking place in Charlottesville with students and alumni, eventually prompted a partnership effort with local UVA clubs across the country for fun runs.
