From the Nominator
Students from every corner of the world come to the picturesque campus of Syracuse University to become the change-makers of tomorrow. Beyond the academics, undergraduates are searching for bold college experiences that will let them explore new interests or shape developing passions. Stepping away from more a formal admission campaign, Syracuse wanted to create a robust view of the student experience that more closely reflected our welcoming campus personality. The ultimate goal of the #SyracuseBound campaign was to not only showcase our interdisciplinary programs, tight-knit community, and exceptional clubs to future students, but also to express what it truly means to #BeOrange.
From the Judges
This video was clever, humorous, and showed all of the aspects of a school that need to be shown without feeling didactic. We loved how this felt like a “soft sell.” It felt upbeat instead of heavy or serious, as so many student recruitment videos do. It was different from all the others we've seen, with a mix of video and graphics, such as the use of the images for the clubs or the alumni profile pics including “Future You” at the end. Great script, great concept, creative, and impressive!
