Tigers Support Tigers Sidewalk Clings
From the Nominator
As part of our #TigersSupportTigers COVID-19 safety campaign, Mizzou Marketing created an outdoor installation of more than 80 AlumiGraphic decal sidewalk clings across the University of Missouri campus and surrounding downtown Columbia area. These original artwork pieces were designed to convey key COVID-19 safety messages in a positive, tongue-in-cheek tone that students and community members would notice and remember.
And it worked!
These sidewalk clings helped launch our greater campaign by generating huge buzz across Mizzou networks, social channels, and local media. MU Student Life even created a Pokemon GO style scavenger hunt (complete with an interactive map) so students could discover all of the clings sprinkled throughout campus. Everyone from freshmen to deans got in on the fun—sharing selfies with their favorite clings to help spread Mizzou’s #TigersSupportTigers message.
From the Judges
There were several components to this campaign that caught our attention as unique standouts. We enjoyed the clever social media integration with their “Pokemon-Go” style game, and we love to see proof of students appreciating a campaign, as seen here with a post going viral on social media when a decal was destroyed by a snowplow.
