Traditional giving days, meet UKnightedTuesday—a 1,853-minute campaign geared to build financial support and impact for and from the entire Arcadia University community. Using the International Day of Giving as our foundation, Arcadia University built upon traditional giving days to bring a live broadcast experience for alumni, students, faculty, staff, and community members to engage and participate over the course of ~31 hours. Featuring student performances, Game Knights, a college coffee kick off, and the ultimate Celebration event, everyone was able to find a role and opportunity to be a part of the largest day of giving in the history of Beaver College and Arcadia University. This year, by strategically integrating challenges, incentive gifts, and the targeted participation of key alumni, students, parents, athletics, faculty, and staff into this campaign, Arcadia University broke all historic records of fundraising, with a 141% increase in dollars, 126% increase in event attendees, 23% increase in unique donors, and a 27% increase in overall gifts. This was done with significant budget and staff resource reductions, given the current pandemic. Pulling off the unbelievable during a national pandemic took incredible drive, strategy, innovation, and team work.
