2021 Fall Awareness

"Our marketing and communications team created a 30-second video commercial for YouTube for the 2021 Fall awareness campaign.
Six internal employees participated in this project. Our creative services specialist, our graphic designer, and our senior communications specialist collaborated on the concept, storyboard, and script. Those assets were reviewed and approved by our manager, creative services. Our creative services specialist then met with the director, camera person, and project manager of our external video production company. They worked together to create sets. For example, they made the staff lounge look like a coffee shop. On the day of the shoot, the people involved included five grips, a soundperson, hair and makeup artists, and a whole production team. Our director, marketing and communications also attended. Our videographer uploaded the video to our YouTube channel.
We created this commercial for four reasons:
1. To increase Bow Valley College brand visibility and provide steady, year-round ad frequency
2. To Increase Bow Valley College’s reach and expand to new markets and audiences
3. To increase Bow Valley College’s brand awareness to boost brand recognition and shift current perceptions
4. To stay top of mind and reinforce Bow Valley College’s brand essence: you are what you do with your time
To date, the commercial has received 9,442 views. Our YouTube campaigns were so successful that campaign optimization was switched to focus on conversion. CTR performance was amazing at 1.17%."
From the Judges
Enjoyed the storyline. Thought their concept that anyone can get a degree easily to make the life you want was easy to grasp. Videography was bright and the student was engaging. Results were good for the budget.
