"The Ask Dr. Universe podcast explores science questions from children around the world and introduces 8-12 year old listeners to university researchers in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math. Dr. Universe, a fictional feline, teams up with researchers to answer children's questions in an accessible, engaging, and informative way. Ask Dr. Universe inspires young scientists to ask big questions and explore the possibilities in STEM.
Each episode is about 10-15 minutes. Our goal is to increase access to free and reputable digital resources that allow kids to engage with STEM topics. Since its launch in Fall 2020, the Ask Dr. Universe podcast has had 4,984 downloads. The podcast is hosted through Buzzsprout and is also distributed through the Kids Listen App, which provides access to high-quality audio for children.
