That BC Feeling
From the Nominator
"That BC Feeling was created to capture the spirit of the Boston College community. In a time when Covid-19 has changed the college experience, we wanted to create something that brought people together in a joyful, heartfelt manner. It was meant, more than anything, to showcase student life and the many experiences of connection and friendship that students share on the Heights.
In my initial email to participants, I wrote, “I am reaching out to so many across campus - student clubs, organizations & resource centers, faculty, staff, dance groups, a cappella groups, comedy groups - and perhaps most importantly, the dining, facilities, custodial, nursing, & health services staff who have been upholding the BC community during this incredibly challenging pandemic.”
When reflecting on the final product, I think we were able to create a video that reflected this initial goal of bringing people together. The intended audience of That BC Feeling was not only current students, faculty, staff and alumni, but also prospective students and those outside the BC community, in particular on YouTube.
Ultimately, it was our best performing YouTube video of the academic year, with a view total of 21,500 and a Facebook reach of 26,500."
