"Fighting Climate Change Through Maine Wilderness Conservation"
From the Nominator
""Fighting Climate Change Through Maine Wilderness Conservation" features alumni Steve Tatko ’10, the director of land management for the Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC). Steve is a conservationist, but also a forester, and often has to balance the world of forest harvesting and land conservation. Steve is a generational Mainer with deep ties in the area.
We chose to highlight Steve because of the impact he has on the region. Since starting with AMC, he has grown their land base to more than 100,000 acres of protected land in the 100 Mile Wilderness section of Maine. We often feature alumni all over the world doing amazing things, but it seemed fitting to turn our lens on a Mainer in our own backyard."
From the Judges
Incredible sound mixing and talent selection. Judges really enjoyed the intro and how Rocky validates everything Steve explains in the video.
