The Next 100: The Centennial Campaign Case Statement
From the Nominator
"The case statement for The Next 100: The Centennial Campaign at The Webb Schools was created for our public launch to explore, explain, and engage the school community in the largest comprehensive fundraising campaign in Webb's 100-year history (a campaign goal of $200 million). A team of volunteers and advancement staff members worked with an editorial/design duo to craft the story and bring this piece to life. The goal of this case statement was threefold:
1) Celebrate Webb's first 100 years of success
2) Explain three major fundraising priorities and how alumni and parents can get involved
3) Explore the impact of this campaign on Webb's next 100 years through a single transformative gift of $100 million and total campaign of $200 million
The reception of the piece has been positive and encouraging, with some leadership volunteers and donors remarking it is among the most engaging and best-designed print publications Webb has ever produced. It has also worked to clarify our campaign goals for donors at all levels while painting an exciting picture of Webb's bright future. Since the public launch of this campaign and case statement in October 2021, Webb raised $9 million, the largest sum ever in a three-month period.
To date, the campaign has raised over $181 million."
From the Judges
As a combined entry, this campaign included two beautiful pieces that really give you a sense of the institution and its history and students. We felt the 100 objects viewbook would give any donors a sense that their gift would be in good hands.
