Shaping the World - Launching LSE's comprehensive Campaign

"In February 2018, the London School of Economics (LSE) commenced counting for a major philanthropic campaign. With the school’s new LSE 2030 strategy setting the vision for the next decade, and with significant momentum from leadership, LSE Philanthropy & Global Engagement (PAGE) was tasked with scoping and delivering a campaign that would meet the vision and ambition of LSE 2030 to position the school as the world-leading social sciences institution with the greatest global impact.
Analysing the school's historic donor pipeline, plotting gift pyramids, identifying new opportunities, and developing a compelling case for support to inspire and secure landmark pledges, LSE PAGE's leadership and development team embarked on a journey to lift the gaze of the entire institution: to demonstrate what transformative philanthropy could achieve and how it was possible at LSE. Responding to new opportunities and adapting to the challenges imposed by COVID-19, the team took the bold decision to commence with a public launch during the pandemic to harness momentum gained and capitalise on new opportunities."
From the Judges
Creative use of resources when not able to hire during pandemic. Instead of a traditional campaign committee, they created campaign faculty ambassadors and senior volunteers.
