University of Florida Admissions Acceptance Package for Class of 2026
From the Nominator
"The University of Florida (UF) admissions' goal was to create an improved admissions acceptance package for freshmen admits (Class of 2026), particularly because admissions' yield is still affected by the pandemic. Although we had significant applications to the freshman class, our success is measured on the number and caliber of students who enroll in the class.
The new acceptance package contained a presentation folder, felt pennant, sticker sheet, 20-page publication for regular admits, 16-page publication for pathway (PACE) admits, and brochure for admits to UF's Innovation Academy. The publications contained QR codes pointing to videos we produced to complement the package. There are four distinct packages in this campaign.
Last year, UF's acceptance package contained a letter, smaller brochure, and a fold-out poster. The new package was designed and written in-house by a designer and a writer. We surveyed a random sample of prior admits (class of 2025) who received last year's acceptance package, and survey results highlighted means to improve content and design. Respondents indicated they wanted a campus map to show the location of residence halls and more content on programs to support a diverse student population.
For the Class of 2026, we produced seven videos of students who discussed community, affordability, and outcomes offered by UF, as well as a personalized welcome microsite that newly admitted students saw on decision day. We will measure the success of this acceptance package when our yield timeline ends on May 1 to inquire if it had any impact on a student's choice to enroll at UF."
From the Judges
Entire project was done in-house and the end result looks great. Impressive concept.
