Campaign Impact Report: Wilson College of Textiles at NC State
From the Nominator
"During the largest campaign in NC State University’s history, more than $2.1 billion was raised for scholarships, faculty support, facilities, and programs. Despite being the university’s third smallest college, with only 2.6 percent of NC State’s total student enrollment, the Wilson College of Textiles was responsible for contributing more than $65.7 million during the Think and Do the Extraordinary Campaign.
The North Carolina Textile Foundation (NCTF), which is the philanthropic arm of the Wilson College of Textiles, celebrated this outstanding fundraising effort by creating an impact report to highlight the most significant successes throughout the five-year campaign. This colorful 28-page publication was designed and edited by the foundation’s sole communicator, who joined the NCTF team two months prior to the campaign closing on Dec. 31, 2021.
Due to a quick turnaround time to share the publication during the college’s annual Scholarship and Endowment Dinner, the impact report had to be authored, designed, edited, approved by multiple parties, and printed within 45 days. The publication’s designer had to work rapidly and be incredibly flexible.
Despite those demanding hurdles, the publication was beautifully designed and exceeded its goals of highlighting the campaign’s success, being shared widely, and being used as a stewardship tool to make major donors feel appreciated. The college’s success within the campaign and praise for the end-of-campaign impact report were identified in a post-campaign assessment conducted by an external consulting firm, PMA Consulting."

An illuminating publication that successfully and succinctly detailed the campaign's impact on the college. The unique textile design motifs were very engaging to readers.
