Career Development Academy
From the Nominator
"The Career Development Academy was a robust partnership between career services and alumni relations that engaged hundreds of current students and alumni and provided critical professional development opportunities to current students. Over the course of nine days, the Office of Career Services scheduled 28 sessions and featured 16 alumni as speakers and session hosts.
The professional development topics presented were informed by the findings of targeted conversations and regular feedback solicited from both students and alumni. Sessions covered specific needs expressed by students and topics recommended by alumni consultants, including resume/CV writing, job searching, networking, and interviewing. We also offered special topics, including life design career mapping, international employment options, transferable skills, TED-style talks, and industry days.
1,884 master’s and doctoral students registered for the academy. This initiative engaged a significant portion of the student and alumni body and proved to be a successful partnership between career services and alumni relations."
