Envision Campaign Magazine Fall 2022
From the Nominator
Envision is the only regularly delivered communications vehicle at UVA dedicated to highlighting the entire landscape of the university’s fundraising initiatives and priorities. The magazine serves to cultivate, recognize, and steward donors to the Honor the Future Campaign for the University of Virginia, launched in the fall of 2019. Mailed to top donors of the campaign, it is also widely used by fundraisers to start conversations, build relationships, and demonstrate the variety of UVA's philanthropic opportunities. Its content is also available on giving.virginia.edu. No university-wide case statement was produced for the campaign. Instead, we have relied on Envision magazine and the president's strategic plan to carry the weight. Envision is produced twice a year to deliver news and messages about the progress of the campaign. At the same time, Envision is heavily focused on the impact of campaign gifts and sharing the good news about the results and benefits of private support. The $5 billion Honor the Future Campaign has already reached $4.5 billion of its goal, despite the pandemic, a little over three years since the public launch. Envision has been instrumental in this achievement.
From the Judges
We liked the diversity of stories and the ways the university highlighted campaign gifts and impact. The use of photography was inviting and complemented each story effectively.
