GPS Upper School Viewbook
From the Nominator
New this year, our marketing and communications team created separate viewbooks to target our specific audiences. Recognizing that an incoming sixth grader and a rising upper schooler had varying expectations for their new schools, including potentially different reading levels and attention spans, we wrote and designed unique middle and upper school viewbooks. The content was created to reflect the current buzz surrounding preteens and teens taking quizzes to determine their interests. Our quizzes prompted the girls to see themselves as future students at our school while teaching them about our signature programming, traditions, and academic offerings. Once the girls tallied their answers, they could view their results in real-time and learn more about what they could expect as students at our school. We have heard from parents throughout the admission season that their girls loved getting the viewbook and doing the quizzes. At this year's admission deadline, our applications were up over the previous year by 28 percent.
From the Judges
The concept is good and the content is engaging. The impact is very strong. As one judge put it, “This is a thoughtful, interactive publication. It reminds me of teen magazine quizzes from when I was growing up but is more inspiring!”
