Ivey Executive MBA "Women of Ivey" Video Series
From the Nominator
"As part of our goal to increase female representation in the Ivey Executive MBA program, we developed a video series titled 'Women of Ivey' to address common barriers and misconceptions that women often face when considering furthering their education.
We asked seven Ivey alumnae about their experiences in the executive MBA program and the impact it has had on their lives both personally and professionally. By speaking with these women, we identified common themes and explored topics such as motherhood, imposter syndrome, support systems, and advice for prospective executive MBA students.
At the Ivey Business School, we value and appreciate the varied roles that women play within their families, organizations, and communities. We are deeply committed to supporting all women and creating an environment for them to thrive both in their careers and beyond.
Brightside films shot and edited the videos with direction from Ivey’s marketing team. Since the launch of the Women of Ivey video series, female participation in the executive MBA program has grown substantially:
- September 2022 start – 42 percent female, compared to 38 percent in 2021 and 27.5 percent in 2019.
- February 2023 start – 37 percent female, compared to 30 percent in 2022 and 29 percent in 2020."
