"Moments" - FIU Commercial

"We sought to create a student experience-focused commercial that had an emotional impact. Many university commercials these days are a laundry list of rankings, accolades, and lofty language. We also had written at least two scripts going the more traditional route when we conceived of a concept that could stand on its own visually. Our goal was to show the student's journey from the moment of acceptance all the way to commencement day. In between, we would highlight situations that a student might find themselves in at FIU, which emphasized the unique culture, location, and community that students would be a part of.
Once we were given the green light, we began an ambitious eight days of shooting in and around campus. We hired a cinematographer who was an alumnus, and together with our in-house team, shot day and night for the duration of the principal photography period. The total budget for this piece was $60K, which was $80K lower than the last commercial ($140K), which was produced by a marketing agency.
The video was submitted to our broadcast partners at Conference USA for distribution during football games. Although the video was primarily featured on TV, postings to social media and YouTube have created brand affinity."

"Moments - FIU Commercial" was truly impressive. Judges loved the creative and strategic approach used to deliver an impactful message. The video production is top-notch, and it effectively conveys the student journey from acceptance to graduation day. The emotional impact it had on viewers is a testament to how well it was executed. Additionally, the use of resources and the messaging were both well thought out and highly effective.
