"Salt Lake Community College’s (SLCC) 2nd Annual Giving Day was held February 17, 2022. Giving Day 2022 challenged SLCC boards, councils, trustees, staff, faculty, students/student leadership, alumni, community partners and friends to dream big and think boldly about what’s possible for SLCC students, programs and community. SLCC Giving Day 2022 involved all college departments—both academic and administrative—aligning with SLCC’s mission, vision and values to be a model for inclusive and transformative education, strengthening the communities we serve through the success of our students.  

SLCC Giving Day used integrated multi-channel communication strategies that complemented SLCC’s “I’m In” Capital Campaign. Corporate sponsorships and SLCC affinity groups offered challenge gifts that were used to generate additional interest and support.  

SLCC 2022 Giving Day goals included raising $100,000 and securing 25 new donors. These goals were surpassed as 205 donors—80 of whom were new—gave a total of $308,240. Funds raised will help support SLCC students and provide access to educational opportunities and resources."

Congratulations to SLCC Giving Day on your 24-hour giving event success, raising $208,240, exceeding your goal, and directing 100 percent of donations toward student support programs, including scholarships, food pantries, and child care centers. The involvement of special guest Tan France, with his Q&A live stream event, helped raise awareness for Giving Day and generated donations for the Area of Greatest Student Need, making this initiative a remarkable example of strategic and impactful fundraising.
