Boston University School of Public Health (BUSPH) is at a significant juncture as we prepare for the school’s 50th anniversary in 2026. This key period will be marked by the development of a bold new strategic plan; the journey toward achieving the plan will be our strategic campaign. BUSPH will craft a series of annual report–type publications over the next four years, with the goal of each one becoming a collector’s item. Beginning in 2023, every issue of SPH This Year is part of an overarching theme: Our People (2023), Our Places (2024), and Our Moments (2025); all will culminate in the school’s 50th Anniversary Issue (2026). The first entry in the series, “Our People,” celebrated the school’s rich history and recognized the individuals—past and present—who have been instrumental in the school’s legacy and success. “Our People” involved creating a visual narrative that resonated with the audience and portrayed the essence of the institution through the lives of these important, inspiring individuals. It was also important that the content be scannable and easily digestible.

The concept is impressive and nicely executed. The addition of the ampersand brings a creative touch, enhancing warmth and connectivity to the overall design.
