Campaign for CMC: Responsible Leadership Makes History
From the Nominator
Claremont McKenna College made history on June 30, 2023, as the first liberal arts college to surpass $1B raised in a single campaign. This was accomplished through the success of the Campaign for CMC: Responsible Leadership. The final result surpassed the initial goal of $800M and was reached through the generous support of more than 12,000 alumni, parents, and friends. The campaign was focused on three key initiatives: Honoring our Leadership Mission, Preparing Leaders Through Integrated Sciences, and Expanding Student Opportunities. Guided by an unwavering commitment to our founding mission, this comprehensive campaign furthered CMC’s evolution, growth, and success and will assist the college in creating future generations of responsible leaders in business, government, and the professions.

This campaign was a success, exceeding its goal and showcasing cross-university collaboration. The creative approach resonated with its audience, resulting in an impressive return on investment. The campaign copy was concise and effective, while the design was clean and visually appealing. It was well executed and achieved great results.
