CFA Magazine, Summer 2023 and Winter 2024
From the Nominator
The summer 2023 and winter 2024 issues of CFA magazine meet the main goals we have set for every issue: to amplify Boston University's College of Fine Arts (CFA) to a national audience, engage alumni, be accessible and meaningful, present the college as a cohesive community, and establish CFA as a leader among peer institutions. We strive to highlight the diversity of voices and perspectives in the CFA community and show how the school prepares its graduates for a variety of careers. These issues include timely and engaging stories that showcase the incredible work of alumni from CFA’s three schools—the School of Music, School of Visual Arts, and School of Theatre. The winter 2024 issue was an especially ambitious undertaking. CFA’s dean tasked the magazine team with developing a special extended issue focused on alumni who are living outside of the United States. CFA’s editor conducted extensive research to identify alumni making a difference in their communities through the arts around the world; we featured stories in this issue about alumni living on all continents except Antarctica. We believe the magazine makes readers proud of their alma mater. CFA has consistently heard positive feedback about the magazine and has received many pitches from alumni to be included in the publication.
