Exchange is the finance alumni magazine for the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa. Surveys show that our audience trends younger and is in the thick of their careers, so they don’t have a ton of time for this magazine (or anything else). Accordingly, we keep our magazine and our copy short and make it beautiful enough to keep around. We want them to get a general idea of what’s going on at the college and what fellow alums are achieving, even on a quick flip-through. Our cover story is a perfect example--an alum sharing five lessons he learned while training for and completing an Ironman. This story has stunning visuals and readers can apply the Ironman's lessons to running their businesses. We also talk with a female finance alum who is doing the important work of trying to remove bias in AI, and we introduce our college’s newest major, Risk Management and Insurance (which is a huge industry in Iowa). Everything is modern, cutting edge, and something to be proud of.
