Force for Good Campaign
From the Nominator
The INSEAD Force for Good campaign created a culture of philanthropy, unifying alumni, students, volunteers, staff, and supporters around our mission to shape leaders who transform business and society. Launched in 2013, this groundbreaking campaign raised €310M, with an inspiring 52% participation rate among our MBA alumni and students (92% of contributions stemming from our alumni). Despite the challenges during COVID, 2020 emerged as a record-setting year, amassing 5,079 donations, including two transformational gifts of €40M for the Hoffmann Institute for Sustainability and €60M for unrestricted research, alongside the strategic acquisition of the Europe Campus land in Fontainebleau. The campaign galvanized the INSEAD community, leveraging the spirit and dedication of over 4,000 alumni volunteers. Over €60M was allocated to scholarships promoting diversity and merit. Strategic expansions, such as the Leadership Development Centre in Asia, the San Francisco Hub, and enhancements in the Middle East, alongside our Europe campus renewal project, underscore our commitment to global education and our zero carbon 2035 pledge. These efforts, alongside new research centers and increased funding for cutting-edge research, position INSEAD at the forefront of thought leadership in areas like gender equality, digital innovation, and wealth inequality. As we reflect on this significant milestone and the collective culture of philanthropy it fostered, it's clear that our journey towards driving positive change in business and society is far from over. We are delighted that the campaign has inspired positive change--“The Force for Good Effect”--from our alumni base in communities around the world.
