Through our Day of Giving videos, we educate the Newark Academy community about the importance of giving to our fund. With a parody musical video of Mamma Mia, we wanted to feature some of our talented seniors, and Claire and Evan were really excited to be involved. We like our videos to take viewers on a tour of the school, to show off old and new spaces, as well as faculty members that alumni will remember. The results and impact were great. We had a record number of students, especially middle school students, who were so excited to make phone calls, many of them coming multiple times throughout the day to help out. Through the use of this video, there was an awareness and buzz about this day, starting with the filming of the video straight through to the day itself. In terms of dollars raised and participation, we surpassed our goals, and overall the day was a great success.
