With Gratitude is an annual stewardship communication that shares the impact of the Illinois Promise scholarship program. This scholarship provides support to in-state students with the highest financial need at the University of Illinois. Each year, we share students’ stories in their own words, and this year’s piece featured a video of an award-winning student essay, “The Beginning,” narrated by the author, with supplementary written testimony from other award winners. The completed piece was shared by email and mail to all lifetime donors to the program.
