The University of Pittsburgh's Division of Philanthropic & Alumni Engagement (PAE) Alumni Annual Giving (AAG) team produces an annual stewardship video to close out the fiscal year. The video is sent to all annual giving donors, showcasing the impact of their donations. In the past, our communications department produced these stewardship videos for AAG, providing a broad overview of giving impact, but for fiscal year 2024, we decided to tell smaller, personal stories. The result was our "Pitt Stories" campaign, where we focused on the importance of scholarship support for individual Pitt students.

This Pitt Story video entry featured a concise and heartfelt script based on a student, Thomas Rubino. Rubino’s personal journey—from being inspired by his mother’s work as a nurse to overcoming open heart surgery—demonstrates the real-world impact of scholarship support.
