The Utah Valley University (UVU) President's EverGREEN Society (PES) Tailgate Event was a dynamic gathering that celebrated athletics and preceded the UVU-BYU rivalry baseball game. PES members, contributors of $1 million or more, were invited to this exclusive tailgate that built excitement for the game. The event took advantage of the proximity between UVU and BYU, the largest public and private universities in Utah, respectively. The design incorporated gold and silver, with gold reserved exclusively for PES, emphasizing their distinctiveness within the university.
From the Judges
The concept of creating custom baseball cards of donors, coaches, and administrators for this event was clever, unique and well executed. We felt that people would be excited to receive them and would consider them delightful keepsake items. We were mixed on the invitation (although the unique sizing of the mini envelope was a nice touch). We felt the invite had a bit of a clip art/infographics feel and could have used more restraint and refinement. But overall, a memorable piece that many athletic-focused organizations and programs may find of interest.
