Putney Post
From the Nominator
These two issues of our magazine used distinctive concepts to showcase the dual nature of The Putney School’s character—deeply connected to the land and a hands-on work ethic, while forward-thinking and innovative. What’s more, the fall issue (alternate/reality) uses design in a creative way, with no "real" cover and requiring the reader to read half of the magazine upside down and backwards. Back to back, these issues speak to our readership’s values and self-perceptions. The theme and design of the fall issue generated a lot of excitement.
From the Judges
We agreed, Putney Post was a refreshing, literate, story-driven publication with heart and sense of place. Excellent use of imagery that connects well with its intended audience. The alumni stories and personal connection come through loud and clear!
