At Brigham Young University, we strive not only to provide students with experiential learning opportunities but also to help them develop their complete character as children of God. Students at BYU have a deep love for all God’s children and are continually serving in meaningful ways. The service activities that BYU students participate in (and often lead) make wonderful stories that we wanted to share with as many people as possible. These are a few reasons we felt it important to share BYU stories with as many as possible. One, the world needs more positive stories that show people serving each other with love and respect. And two, as people become more aware of BYU and its students' work, then decision-makers are more likely to hire a BYU grad, give a BYU student an internship, partner with BYU faculty on research projects, etc. Through sharing these stories, BYU can increase brand awareness, academic reputation, and positive feelings that people have towards the university. With increased awareness and understanding of the BYU brand, misconceptions about the university and its students are challenged.
