What to Do @ FSU
From the Nominator
The social media team at the Florida State University Office of University Communications created "What to do @ FSU," a short-form video series that features unique recognized student organizations (RSOs) on campus, from the FSU Flying High Circus to the fencing and equestrian clubs, and more. The two-minute episodes, in a mini-doc format, feature interviews with club presidents and b-roll of various activities. The goal of the series was to educate both current and prospective students about some exciting facets of campus life. FSU has more than 750 RSOs, which can be an overwhelming number for students seeking ways to get involved on campus. Therefore, our team felt it was important to spotlight a few of the notable clubs in a fun and relevant way. The social media team consists of a program manager and four paid interns. The “What to do @ FSU” series was run primarily by the interns and overseen by the social media manager. No outside resources or funds were used. Each student took responsibility for one episode, and the other student team members and manager assisted with scriptwriting, organizing, producing, videography, and editing.
