This print mailer from the University of Iowa is designed to assist prospective students at the beginning of their senior year as they navigate the college-search process. The piece's goal is to provide the students with quick, memorable reasons about why they should choose Iowa. Understanding the importance of meeting students where they are in their search journey, we opted for clear language and concise content, supplemented by visually engaging elements to aid in scanning. Informed by extensive audience research, including focus groups with non-resident high schoolers, and guided by insights from our admission counselors, our mailer highlights five compelling characteristics that set Iowa apart: our esteemed faculty, flexible academic programs, collaborative environment, close-knit Hawkeye community, and vibrant college town. Through engaging copy, statistics, and captivating visuals, we present a persuasive case for choosing Iowa. This mailer resulted in heightened engagement, positive feedback, and increased interest and applications, reinforcing Iowa's reputation as a top-tier destination for prospective students.
